COPPER
The Wetar copper project, in Indonesia, is expected to reach its nameplate capacity of 25 000 t/y of copper cathode by the December quarter, owner Finders Resources said on Tuesday. The company reported that the copper cathode solvent extraction and electrowinning (SX-EW) plant had plated over 4 800 t of copper cathode, with production ramp-up reaching nameplate capacity on a number of days.
