Aurizon and BHP extend freight contractBy:Creamer Media Senior Deputy Editor: Australasia COAL Freight operator Aurizon has extended its contract with mining major BHP Billiton to haul coal from the Mt Arthur coal mine, in New South Wales.
The contract allowed for a potential increase in coal haulage volumes from the current 18-million tonnes a year to a maximum of 26-million tonnes a year, and extended the contract date until June 2028.
