African building manufacturer Kwikspace Modular Buildings provided site accommodation capable of housing about 500 project personnel as part of refurbishment works being carried out at the Selous, Zimbabwe-based base metals refinery (BMR) owned by platinum-group metals (PGMs) producer Zimplats – a subsidiary of South African PGMs producer Impala Platinum. The Kwikspace works form part of a scheme to refurbish its Selous Metallurgical Complex for the purpose of enhancing safety and productivity. The Zimplats BMR separates base metals such as nickel, chrome and copper.
