Woodside appoints Macfarlane to its board

Oil and gas producer Woodside has appointed former Industry and Science Minister Ian Macfarlane as an independent director. Macfarlane served as Industry and Science Minister until September last year, and in February this year retired from Australian politics. He was recently appointed as the CEO of the Queensland Resources Council and also chairperson of the Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre, and is a member of the Toowoomba Community Advisory Committee of the University of Queensland Rural Clinical School.
