Wollongong weighs appeal as court rejects bid

ASX-listed junior Wollongong Coal has said it is disappointed with the decision by the Land and Environment Court to set aside the company’s appeal on orders from the New South Wales Planning and Assessment Commission (PAC). The PAC in March this year released its review report in relation to the expansion of the Russell Vale colliery, which raised concerns about the environmental consequences of the project to the Sydney drinking water catchment area.
