London-listed Sylvania Platinum has secured the mining rights from the Department of Mineral Resources to mine platinum-group metals (PGMs), iron-ore, vanadium and heavy minerals from three of 71%-owned subsidiary Hacra Mining and Exploration’s sites. The low-cost PGM producer said the permits covered mining on the group’s Cracouw 391 LR, Aurora 397 and Harriets Wish 393 LR farms, in the Northern limb of the Bushveld complex.
