Sanral establishes environmental monitoring committee for N2 Wild Coast toll road

The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) has established an independent environmental monitoring committee (EMC) to oversee the environmental aspects of the construction of the N2 Wild Coast toll road. The committee will act as a watchdog, monitor and auditor to ensure that the toll road complies with the specific conditions of the environmental authorisation and the requirements of the approved environmental management programme for the the project. It will also ensure that the conditions of all other environmental permits issued for the project are met.
