Swedish engineering group Sandvik on Tuesday announced that it was preparing to exit two non-core operations as it consolidated its structure into three business areas amid a drive to boost efficiency. The tool and mining equipment maker said it now considered Sandvik Process Systems and Sandvik Hyperion – excluding two sites to be merged into business area Machining Solutions – as non-strategic operations.
