Industrial auctioneer Ritchie Bros held its fifth and final Fort Worth, Texas auction for the year last week, selling 4 950 items over two days for more than $40-million. These items included oil, gas, power and utility equipment, as well as general construction equipment, vocational trucks and transport trucks. More than 4 600 people from 56 countries registered to bid in the auction, which took place from November 30 to December 1, including 3 200 bidders participating online. US buyers bought 91% of the equipment, 47% of which was bought by Texas buyers. International buyers from Hong Kong, Cameroon and the UK bought 9% of the equipment.
