IRON-ORE
Diversified miner Rio Tinto on Tuesday confirmed a rail bridge failure in the Pilbara, prompting the miner to temporarily halt rail haulage from the Brockman 2 and Brockman 4 iron-ore mines.
A spokesperson for the company said a structural failure of a small section of a rail overpass, which was currently under construction, had resulted in dirt falling on the rail line below.
