Amid heightened economic and geopolitical uncertainties, the remainder of the year holds a range of potential outcomes for gold demand, says World Gold Council (WGC) Europe, the Middle East and Africa senior analyst Louise Street. “Looking at investment demand, there is a ‘push-and-pull’ effect on gold demand as it has been caught between high inflation and rising interest rates, partly owing to the heightened economic and geopolitical uncertainties.”
