Australian resources sector welcomes Budget

The Australian resources sector has welcomed the federal Budget, particularly a A$28.7-million investment in the east coast gas security, and over A$70-billion to 2021 on transport infrastructure across Australia. Minister for Resources Matt Canavan said on Wednesday that the A$28.7 million east coast gas development programme would target faster development of onshore gas fields to meet Australian demand, while also focussing on a fair return to landholders
