PTM’s Maseve ramp-up dogged by DMR safety blitzes

The ramp up of South Africa-focused miner Platinum Group Metals’ (PTM’s)  cornerstone Maseve mine has been hampered in recent weeks by safety blitzes in the North West province by the inspectorate branch of South Africa's Department of Mineral Resources (DMR). The company noted on Tuesday that this had caused intermittent Section 54 work stoppages at Maseve, causing a loss of some planned production and compounding existing development delays.
