Murray & Roberts secures Phase 1 Booysendal South Central complex contract

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Platinum producer Northam Platinum this week awarded JSE-listed Murray & Roberts Cementation the Phase 1 contract for the Mpumalanga-based Booysendal South Central complex, a new mine that will be established on the same mining lease as Booysendal platinum mine. Murray & Roberts Cementation business executive Allan Widlake noted on Friday that the contract, due to start in April next year, includes the development of an access decline system, to be established as part of Phase 1 of the project.
