ELECTRICITY
The Department of Energy (DoE) released a request for information (RFI) for gas-fired electricity generation on Tuesday, the outcome of which would guide the design of a 3 126 MW ‘Gas to Power Procurement Programme’. Energy Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson said that a request for proposals should be released to the market in September 2015, with a bid-submission phase planned for the first quarter of 2016.
