Molewa dismisses CoAL environmental authorisation amendment appeal

Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa has dismissed an appeal against the environmental authorisation (EA) amendment for Coal of Africa Limited’s (CoAL’s) Makhado project, in Limpopo. The amendment, which was granted in July in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, amended the holder of the authorisation from CoAL to Baobab Mining and Exploration, the legal entity for the Makhado project.
