Lonmin appoints COO to board

Platinum miner Lonmin has appointed COO Ben Moolman as executive director with immediate effect.   “[This appointment] emphasises the importance the board  places on operational performance and safety, particularly as we face significant challenges in these areas as  highlighted in our second quarter production report,” CEO Ben Margara said, adding that Moolman played a key role on the management team, overseeing the operational  restructuring and improving safety, operational productivity and efficiencies.
