PERSPECTIVES
South Africa’s Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) has been tasked with implementing what Water Minister Nomvula Mokonyane (centre) described as the long-term solution for turning acid mine drainage (AMD) into safe drinking water. The long-term solution will also remove the salts and make the water safe again.
