Installed lighting system reduces electricity consumption

Branded electrical equipment and industrial instrumentation suppliers Magnet Group – sole distributors for  Mars light-emitting diode (LED) Lighting System –  were appointed technology suppliers for the installation of an energy efficient lighting management system for a Boxer Superstores supermarket, which opened in Cape Town at the end of 2015, to reduce electicity consumption and enhance the aesthetics of the supermarket. “The demand for electricity for at least 14 operating hours a day, necessitates a reliable, low-energy system to efficiently illuminate the store, which is about 2 300 m²,” says Magnet MD Brian Howarth, adding that the company’s solution for this project involved the combination of robust light fittings and the latest LED technology.
