BASE METALS
Base metals miner HudBay Minerals reported initial production from the completed Constancia copper porphyry project, in southern Peru, started during the quarter ended December and it expected to declare commercial production in the second quarter.
The TSX- and NYSE-listed miner on Thursday said it expected full-year 2015 output to rise by more than 270% year-on-year, owing to planned production from all three new mines including Constancia, and the Lalor and Reed projects, in the Flin Flon Greenstone Belt of Manitoba.
