Aim-listed mining services group Goldplat has reported an “exceptional” second quarter at its gold recovery business in Ghana, achieving an operating profit of £1.82-million, up from about £1-million a year prior. In its operational update for the second quarter ended December 31, 2023, Goldplat said the Ghana operation’s performance was driven by strong supplies during the first half of the current financial year and the sale of inventory that built up as a result of the company’s inability to export while its export licence was finalised during the second half of the previous financial period.
