MINING PRODUCTION
Diversified natural resources company Glencore on Thursday reported production in line with its guidance for the 12 months ended December 31, on the back of copper, zinc, coal and oil production suspensions. Copper production for the year under review fell 5% to 1.4-million tonnes, with higher grades and throughput within the South American portfolio offsetting the impact of the suspended production at Glencore’s African copper assets.
