First gas from the Australia Pacific liquefied natural gas (APLNG) project in the Surat basin has reached the Curtis Island LNG facility, in Queensland, operator Origin Energy reported on Wednesday.
The arrival of the first gas to the LNG facility marked the completion of commissioning of the 530 km high-pressure gas pipeline, which was another important milestone for the project, Origin stated.
