In a seeming effort to preempt a City Press report raising questions about the award, by State-owned electricity utility Eskom, of a multimullion-rand coal contract to the Gupta-family-linked Tegeta Exploration and Resources, in which President Jacob Zuma’s son, Duduzane, is a shareholder, Eskom chairperson Dr Ben Ngubane released the following statement on Saturday June 11:
