Engen and football partners SuperSport United, along with the PinkDrive organisation kicked-off their breast cancer awareness campaign at the Sunnypark Mall in Pretoria on Saturday, 08 October 2016. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As early detection is critical to saving lives, free tests and education were conducted on-site. Men and women from all walks of life availed themselves for the testing and education, showing a real interest in gaining awareness of their status. On the day, the PinkDrive organisation conducted 201 tests, with 21 tests conducted on men. Engen SuperSport United PinkDrive Ambassador, Thabo September was also tested. Speaking afterwards, September said: “This was the most important two minutes of my life and it is important that I lead from the front. The PinkDrive campaign is very relevant to me. I am honoured to raise awareness for this cause.
