Danish smart meter solutions provider Kamstrup has confirmed its first order in Iran. The order of 6,000 intelligent water meters comes less than two weeks after the EU lifted sanctions against the Middle Eastern nation. Earlier this month, Danish Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen said that Danish companies have a big role to play in providing solutions to help Iran manage its water resources and develop its renewable energy sector. His comments came after he had led a Danish trade delegation, of which Kamstrup was part of, that met with Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian in Tehran to discuss the solutions Danish companies could provide. As one of the world’s leading suppliers of intelligent metering solutions, Kamstrup is well equipped to help the Persian state enhance the operation of its energy infrastructure and the management of its water resources, according to Danish Fareed, Kamstrup’s General Manager of Heat, Cooling and Water meters in Dubai.
