CPPER
Chile's Codelco said on Thursday that its operations were running normally, after five of the world No 1 copper producer's mines were affected by a new round of strikes begun by contract workers a day earlier.
The Chile state-owned miner said in a statement that copper production had not been affected by the work stoppages, which forced it to temporarily halt the concentrator at its massive Chuquicamata mine on Wednesday for security reasons.
