BHP restarts Olympic Dam mine shut after power outage

BHP Billiton said its Olympic Dam copper, gold and uranium mine was temporarily shut before being restarted with back up generation following a power outage in South Australia state. "Following the loss of power in South Australia, Olympic Dam was able to safely shut down, and start back up generation that provides power to critical infrastructure," BHP said in a statement emailed to Reuters.
