Australian miner signs deal with science agency to recover vanadium

Tivan has signed a long-term deal with the Australian government’s science agency in a bid to develop critical minerals processing technology designed to bolster the recovery of vanadium. The agreement gives Tivan an exclusive 20-year worldwide licence, except in India, for use of the CSIRO’s intellectual property to recover vanadium — a steel-strengthening additive that’s increasingly being used in batteries.
