ArcelorMittal Bremen has placed an order with SMS group www.sms-group.com to supply the newly developed HD spray system with air-mist cooling for its continuous slab caster. The modification at the two-strand vertical bending machine is to be completed during a plant shutdown scheduled for the end of 2017. The HD spray system is a scalable water distribution and control system which, compared to conventional solutions, requires far less space and pipework.
