Acacia appoints COO

Tanzania-focused Acacia Mining has appointed Michelle Ash COO. Ash, who would be based in Dar es Salaam, joined Acacia as executive GM of business improvement and planning in October 2013 and had more than 20 years of experience within the mining and manufacturing industries across a range of senior roles, including head of alliance planning and coordination for the BHP Mitsubishi Alliance and GM of strategy for MMG.
