AB InBev sells Carlton subsidiary for $11bn

NYSE- and JSE-listed Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) on Friday announced it would sell its Australian subsidiary Carlton & United Breweries to Asahi Group Holdings for $11.3-billion in enterprise value. As part of this transaction, AB InBev granted Asahi the rights to commercialise the portfolio of AB InBev’s global and international brands in Australia.
