After one year of operations, LSE- and Nasdaq-listed Randgold Resources was turning its focus to finding more reserve ounces at the Kibali mine, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to secure its future as a long-life mine and one of Africa’s largest gold producers. Randgold developed and operated the mine, which it owned in partnership with AngloGold Ashanti and the Congolese parastatal SOKIMO.
