Gauteng Roads and Transport MEC Dr Ismail Vadi on Tuesday launched a R24-million road rehabilitation project in Evaton, Sedibeng, as part of the provincial campaign for the Department of Transport's yearly Transport Month this October. Vadi said road D904, known as the Old Evaton road, was in need of substantial repair as it had degraded over the years and posed a safety risk for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians travelling from Evaton to Emfuleni and Midvaal by the R82/Old Vereeniging road.
