COAL
Coal miner Stanmore Coal has signed a foundation coking coal contract with an East Asian steel producer representing a "material portion" of the semi-soft coking coal to be produced from the Isaac Plains mine, in Queensland.
Isaac Plains, which was set to produce its first coal in April this year, was expected to produce some 3.3-million tonnes of coal over the next three years.
