STATE CAPTURE
Members of Parliament (MPs) from across the political divide on Tuesday called for a probe into allegations of State capture at South African State-owned freight and logistics company, Transnet. Transnet group chief executive Siyabonga Gama and his team appeared before Parliament’s standing committee on public accounts (Scopa) to explain how far they have fared in investigations into alleged kickbacks given to Gupta-linked companies in exchange for contracts with the State-owned company.
