The South Crofty tin mine, in Cornwall, has received the last permit required to render the project fully shovel ready – a permit to proceed with the construction of a mine water treatment plant (WTP).
Canadian project developer Strongbow Exploration said on Monday that the UK Environment Agency had granted it a permit allowing for the discharge of up to 25 000 m3/d of treated water from the South Crofty project – a past producing underground tin/copper mine in the town of Pool.
