 Abstract: Gold producer Harmony Gold Mining Company (Harmony) has received a Section 12L tax incentive for energy savings achieved on the compressors of the miner’s Tshepong gold mine in the Free State. Section 12L of the Income Tax Act incentivises businesses to save energy through a tax allowance of 95c for every kilowatt hour saved.
