 Abstract: ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems’ automatic entrance and exit solutions facilitate passage at Lanseria International Airport’s international departures terminal as well as to offices at the facility. First established in 1974 and located North of Johannesburg, Lanseria is South Africa’s only privately-owned international airport and the only other internationally accredited airport in Gauteng. Following a number of expansions and upgrades, including a R150 million project to construct a new runway to accommodate larger aircraft, the airport is today a key player in the aviation sector offering daily commercial flights on top airlines between Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and George. A number of leading charter companies also operate from the airport.
