EXPLORATION
Project generator Transition Metals's latest programme of diamond drilling at Sunday Lake, 25 km north of Thunder Bay, Ontario, has confirmed continuity of platinum group metal (PGM) mineralisation over an area about 700 m long and 300 m wide, at depths tested between 370 m to 800 m below surface. The programme – a joint venture owned 75% by Impala Platinum (Implats) and 25% by Transition, and funded by Implats – was started in the fall of 2014 and consisted of three holes totalling 2 074 m to further evaluate the extent and quality of the Discovery zone, first announced in January last year.
