Project house Cimic’s global mining contractor Thiess has been awarded a A$180-million contract extension to continue operations at the Melak coal mine, in Indonesia.
The company said that the contract extension by PT Sinar Abadi and PT Firman Ketaun Perkasa would allow Thiess to continue mining development and operations at the site through to December 2019.
