The Australian federal government will undertake a study into offshore gas basins in southern Australia to investigate prospects for future gas supplies to the South East Australian domestic gas market.
The study, which forms part of the government’s greater A$90-million investment in domestic gas security and supply, will cover the Gippsland, Otway, Bass and Sorell basins.
