Proposed Stillwater acquisition nets Sibanye ‘deal of the year’ award

Precious metals miner Sibanye’s proposed R30-billion acquisition of US-based platinum group metals (PGMs) producer Stillwater Mining Company has won Ansarada DealMakers’ Deal of the Year award. “We are honoured to receive this award, which I believe recognises that the proposed acquisition of US-listed Stillwater is a transformative transaction at an opportune time in the commodity price cycle,” CEO Neal Froneman said.
