Polo investment decision would have been tough sell in 2017, says VWSABy:Creamer Media Senior Deputy Editor AUTO INDUSTRY German carmaker Volkswagen in 2015 took a multibillion-rand decision to invest in new Polo and Polo Vivo production in South Africa. However, it is “unlikely” that the group would have come to the same positive conclusion in 2017, says Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) MD and chairperson Thomas Schaefer.
