Minera IRL representatives were expected to meet with community leaders of Atcas on Monday after the company had been forced by community members to suspend all operations at the Corihuarmi gold mine, in Peru. On September 5, at about 17:00, a group of about 100 Atcas community members forced their way on to the mine site, about 160 km south-east of Lima, and occupied key installations.
