Kidman draws on technical capabilities of Chile’s SQM for WA lithium project

ASX-listed Kidman Resources has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with lithium producer Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA (SQM) to develop and operate the Mt Holland lithium project, in Western Australia. Under the terms of the agreement, SQM will invest $110-million, comprising a cash payment of $30-million to Kidman and a staged payment of $80-million to fund the initial development costs of the Mt Holland operation.
