Ivanhoe’s Kamoa-Kakula in DRC now holds 1bn-tonne resource

COPPER
TSX-listed Ivanhoe Mines’ Kakula discovery, at its Kamoa-Kakula copper project, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), now contains indicated resources of 116-million tonnes at 6.09% copper, plus inferred resources of 12-million tonnes at 4.45% copper, at a 3% cut-off. The new estimate further boosted the combined Kamoa-Kakula indicated mineral resources to around one-billion tonnes, at 3.02% copper, plus another 191-million tonnes of inferred resources at 2.37% copper, at a 1.4% cut-off.
