DIVERSIFIED MINERS
Engineering company Fluor Corporation has been contracted by Emirates Global Aluminium’s wholly-owned subsidiary Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) to manage the development of a 12-million-tonne-a-year bauxite mine, in Guinea. The $700-million contract will also see Fluor manage the mine’s dedicated export terminal in Port Kamsar, in the country’s Boké region, as well as carry out rail and infrastructure upgrades.
