Extra comment period for KGHM’s changed Ajax mine expected in Nov

Kamloops community members will have another chance to give input into the proposed Ajax copper/gold mine, in British Columbia, after proponent KGHM International in May substantially changed the mine layout in response to community complaints. The province’s Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) and the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency on Tuesday announced that they would be jointly holding a 30-day public comment period, and public information sessions, regarding revised information requirements for the proposed Ajax mine.
