DIAMONDS
Canadian diamond producer Dominion Diamond Corp on Monday said a move to relocate its head office from Yellowknife, in the Northwest Territories (NWT), to Calgary, Alberta, is expected to save C$19-million a year once fully implemented.
Despite costing about 100 jobs in the NWT, the project is expected to be completed by mid-year 2017 without interruption to ongoing operations at the flagship Ekati mine and the development of the Jay pipe project.
